A Week in Review

What have I done this week? Well first and foremost my quilting needles came in. That alone makes everything right in my world. I also finished up the quilt center with the Fresh Air blocks, working on borders now. I made a new bag pattern. My friend Nancy is going to test the pattern for me this week. If all goes well I should have them printed soon and then I can do a giveaway. I made my sample but I like a second set of hands to try it out first.

My quilt guild met this week. Jan Patek was our guest speaker. Jan brought tons of beautiful quilts with her, and gave a great lecture. She is a very warm and friendly person. I was sure that a couple of those quilts were made for me but apparently not. Do I have photos? Of course not, silly girls, that would mean I would have had to thought to take my camera.

I do have photos from today though. These are photos of everyone working in the Jo's Little Women group. Today was the first meeting and everyone is getting started on the center applique block. For those of you who don't know the club quilt is called Holiday Inn. It is a medallion, scrappy and made of 1800 reproduction fabrics. Check out Jo Morton's website to see the quilt and all her other lovely things. We all had a great time working and visiting. The three hours flew by. It will be interesting to see how different everyone's quilt will turn out.

And that pretty much covers my week. Nothing too terribly exciting but it makes me happy.

  1. That's exciting having Jan as your guest. We started Jo's Club last month. I'm saving mine until my next trip to the beach, hopefully soon. I'm ready for a little getaway! Looks like you were all having fun! Kim
