I am back from my girl's weekend and I feel as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders. As much as I love my family and my quilting job it was wonderful to leave it all behind for a few days. We had a great time just visiting and relaxing. Our cabin was gorgeous and very homey with anything you might need. It is located in Cameron Mo. at the Soggy Bottom Campgrounds. Totally private and very picturesque.

This That and the Other
Hello All. I have not disappeared, just been busy. I finished my book proposal and found out my next book will be out Sept. 2010. I am very excited about this book so you will hear more as I progress. Sorry.
My quilt history group met and did our first exchange of blocks for the Civil War Diaries quilt. There are seven of us and we exhcange blocks once a month. These are the little beauties. When we finish we will have 42 blocks. Very fun.
I have also been making samples for the next semester of classes I am teaching. For the beginner applique we will do the pumpkin design. It will be finished into a flanged pillow. Simple but cute I think. I am also teaching advanced applique and a table runner but you have seen the samples for that before, so I will spare you.
The last thing I have been doing is laundry, grocery shopping etc. so that my guys can survive the weekend without me. I leave tomorrow for a girl's weekend with two lifelong friends. We have rented a cabin and plan to spend one day shopping in the local Amish community there. I will have more on that Mon. when I return.
