Hartfield Block 8

I got some emails yesterday about the Hartfield block. Some asked if I was going to post a block. Of course I am. I wouldn't stop the quilt in the middle. Some of the emails came pretty early in the morning. I post on the 15th of the month but there are 24 hours in the day. I can't always get to it as soon as I get up in the morning. Be patient. It will be there. I am officially late posting this block and I offer no real apology this time.  My mother's lung cancer has come back in her "good" lung. She had surgery yesterday and I spent the day at the hospital with her and am posting this before I head out again. Sometimes life gets in the way. That's just how it is.
We are piecing this month. The blocks are baskets. We will make 2 blocks and they finish at 9". You guys should be able to whip these out pretty quick. HERE is your link.
Happy Quilting, Dawn
I hope to be on time next month! Thanks for hanging in there with me.

  3. You don't need to apologize or explain anything to anyone. One shouldn't look a gift free BOM in the mouth. They should just say "thank you" and move on. As for me, thank you!

  5. @ Shakerwood...you took the words right out of my mouth! For what it's worth, I tend to look for blocks when I see them coming and I'm grateful for each one. Very little in life is free anymore and I appreciate all you do. Worry about your Mom first and foremost. Sending hugs and prayers for you and yours.

  6. I am new to blogging and have very much enjoyed your work. I am so sorry there are those who have forgotten their manners and are selfish. Hopefully there are more of us out here who are grateful to you for sharing your beautiful patterns with us, and are remembering you and your family in our prayers. Catherine

  10. I think you have a lot on your plate right now and to only be a few hours late is more than acceptable.

I hope all is going well with your mom and things improve for you both rapidly.

    Thanks for the latest block.

  19. I love your block of the month. But we can wait, take care of your mom. I understand the time it takes when taking care of an ill family member. My mom lost her battle to brain cancer just a couple of weeks ago. My prayers are with you and your family.

  21. I love this quilt so far, but I am unable to print out the pattern instructions. Your link takes me to a google document page which will not go further without your permission. What happened to the simple PDF format? Looking for any answers from anyone. Help!
