Best Intentions

I have the best of intentions to keep up with the blog but life kinda gets in the way. Once the rain stopped and things warmed up we had a ton of outside work to do. I think we are finally done other than maintenance and the pool.
I have been busy working on new stuff for fall market. I am quilting one of the new quilts now. I am almost finished.

I have put in about a million hours of applique.
I am really excited about the new patterns for fall. I think they are going to be pretty awesome.
I am also working on a new book. It won't be out until next fall but I have to have all the projects finished by February. It is a fall themed book. Fall is my favorite time of year and this gives me an excuse to make some more fall and pumpkin themed projects.
Right now it looks like the new book will have 5 quilts. There will be piecing and applique. It will also include  several wool applique projects and some cross stitch. That is why I have to get to work on things now.

Since I can rarely share what I am working on other than little glimpses it is hard to come up with subject matter for the blog so I am asking you "What do you want to see here?" If there is something- anything (almost anything) that you would like me to blog about, leave a comment and I will do a post on the subject.I look forward to your feedback and suggestions.

Happy Quilting, Dawn

  1. I can't wait to see all of your new stuff! I used to do a ton of cross stitch, and haven't touched it now for years, but you are almost inspiring me to get it back out! I must resist the temptation!!

  2. Love the new quilt, can't wait to see it finished.
I love being outside in the summer, but lately we are getting a lot of rain or too much humidity, so good days to stay in and sew.

  3. I love to cross stitch and quilt. I love your pictures. Are you doing Big Stitch in the one picture. If so could you blog about doing that or give some hints. Thank you.

  4. I love your quilts and like seeing them as much as possible (even the older ones). You could blog about them and also your cat. What is she up to? You said before she was quite lively!
