Folk Art Tribute BOM

Hello Quilters! It's time for the next block in the BOM. This month's block is Heart in Hand. You can't have a folk art quilt without that. The block is 12" x 12". It is a super fast block.
This quilt has went together so fast. We only have 2 more blocks and then the borders. One block will be another 12" x 12" and one will be 12" x 48" just like the pineapple block was. I would like a little feedback from those of you doing this. Has it been too easy- simple? Give me your thoughts. You can find the templates HERE.
Happy Quilting, Dawn
Terry in So. Cal- please send me your email and I will send you the templates in a pdf. I think the problem is on your end.

  4. I have really enjoyed doing this quilt top. It's basic simplicity has made it a joy to quietly stitch. I wasn't looking for another big complicated project when I started. I have a question, does this block go on the side row or the bottom? I've cut out the background squares in two different fabrics already and the placement is important with the other backgrounds I've used. Thanks.

  8. Love all your work. Have started this latest bom and find your patterns easy. I always copy your narrative (with pictures) and then the templates.

This month's templates are not completely printing. Is it me and/or my printer? I'm only getting half the hand. I've tried previewing and the screen shows only half the hand.

    Help.

  10. Love this block. I have really enjoyed the blocks. I like the fact that the pieces are large, it has allowed me to improve my applique skills. I hope you do another BOM, I would definitely participate.

  11. I am loving these blocks to work on in the middle of a more complicated Baltimore Album project. Kind of a "cool my brain" respite. Also, experimenting with the back-basting method, and they are working out perfectly. Thanks!

  12. Thank you for sharing this beautiful design. I have found it easy to make. So far I have made two. I admit it takes more fabric, and here in my country is difficult and expensive to get these fabrics. This is more my problem in particular.

I seem to be having a problem with printing that also... Terry and I must be special.

Could you sent a PDF to me also?

  20. Hi Dawn, I just started printing off all of your patterns and they are adorable. Although I haven't started sewing yet. I can print the hand, first the top and then the bottom. My problem is the hand looks huge on the screen, but when I print it, it seems small. Not sure what size block this one is. I could enlarge it with my copier if I knew the size of the block. My email is
    Kimdigsatyahoo.com Thanks so much.
