Okay, just so you know I hate blogs without photos. I love to look at what everyone is working on etc. That being said this initial post will have no photos. As I am not the most computer savvy I figured it would take three tries at least to get this going and so I was not prepared. I will have photos soon.
I thought it might be nice for you to know a little about me and my blog. I am a quilt designer. I have a book coming out in April with KC Star. It is called Geese in the Rose Garden. I am very excited about that. I quilt daily. I do hand applique and hand quilting . I love to be able to carry my projects with me. I also teach hand applique classes.
I grew up surrounded by quilts. My grandmother and great grandmother were both quilters. My other great grandmother was also a quilter but I never met her as she had died long before I came along. However, she left behind a legacy in the beautiful quilt tops that she had made. These quilt tops were tucked away in the linen closet. Periodically after much begging and nagging they would be brought out for me to look at and hear her story.
These treasures in the linen closet are the inspiration for my blog/pattern name.
So, now you know a little about me.
