Lax Blogger




Today I got a friendly email reminder that I had not posted since May 18. So...I am posting ,Darlene. Seriously though my life has been chaos, more so than usual. I have had a lot marketing things related to my book, trip to Nebraska and I have a 15 and 16 year that live in my house. Also, I am president of the day chapter of my quilt guild and the year ends July1. I have some last minute things to do there. One of the things is I have to do is come up with thank you gifts for the members of my board. There are 9 members and they have been a treat to work with. Everyone has done their jobs to a degree above what is expected. There has been no bickering, everyone has got along. I am very thankful to them for all their hard work. I have given alot of thought to what to give as a gift and what I came up with is.. I will make them each a pincushion. I made one of these lily pincushions to see what you guys think. So you will have to comment to let me know if you think it is a go or not.




They will be made in different fabrics. Each will measure 4x4 square and is filled with crushed walnuts. I have to have 9 made by Monday morning so let me know what you think. Be honest girls, I trust your judgement. Be sure to leave a comment, you never know this could be a giveaway......

    I think it is perfect!
    LOVE the pattern , colors and who doesn't need a pincushion?
    I find I need one for different rooms now and would love to have one for my applique bag to go.
    I would love to have one for flower head pins and one for straight pins too...
    so see everyone can never have enough pincushions!

    Talk about perks! That would be such a wonderful gift. I truly don't think anyone would possibly object to such a darling keepsake! Now where do I sign up for this guild....do they teleconference? LOL!

    I love it and I'm being honest. I've heard of using crushed walnuts in pincushions but haven't tried that yet. Please enter my name in your drawing.

    Who wouldn't be happy to receive such a darling pincushion! Your friends will be tickled for sure! If not, tell them Quilt Hollow will take them! I like you, have been very busy with being gone and now leaving again for two weeks but will be checking on you!!
