The quilt finishes at 38"x 51" and the applique blocks are 18" finished. When Moda first sent me layer cakes to design with I was unsure of how to make them work for me. I am now really loving them. The fabric lover in me is happy to get a piece of each fabric in the line. I also really like being able to do traditional style applique in a project that finishes rather quickly.
The patterns are now ready to go so I think a giveaway is in order.
If you are interested in winning a pattern ( I will giveaway 2) leave me a comment. If you are a follower or become one let me know and you will get 1 more chance. Post it on your blog and let me know and you will get another chance. Standard stuff, you guys know how to play. You will have until Fri. Aug. 20 at 9pm to comment.
Happy Quilting, Dawn
Dawn, it's gorgeous! And those fabrics are to die for. I really love how you've taken a traditional pattern and used prints instead of solids for the appliques, and I really love the black print borders too. Gee, why didn't I think of that...I've always avoided black since it's a cat hair magnet, but the print would disguise it. Perfect! ;-) I don't have a blog, but I follow yours on my Windows Live feed. Thanks for the giveaway!
