News

Okay, so it has been longer than I planned since I posted. Every time I think I am caught up and will have some down time more things come my way. Not complaining, they are all good things. I just think the time when I had lapses between jobs are no more. This is now a full time, all the time career. So, here are a couple of things I have been working on.
Rather than starting a new free BOM, I am doing a block a week quilt! It is all pieced. ( I know?) I will post a block every Monday, starting Oct.1 on the Henry Glass blog for 12 weeks. By Dec. 17th you will have the whole quilt and hopefully be able to quilt it in time for Christmas. One pieced block a week is pretty easy for most of us to squeeze in so I hope you all play along. Tell your friends, I want a whole crowd working on this together. The quilt will be made from my fabric line Best Wishes. I hope you all will love it!
I am still working like a mad woman to get everything ready for the AQS Des Moines show. If you are going stop and see me. I will be in booth 109 and on Friday afternoon I will do a 20 minute demo on the stage showing my method for needle turn applique. The demo is free! Free is good right, free block a week and free applique demo.
I am also working on new patterns. Market is right around the corner and of course that means new patterns. I will have new patterns using my fabric line, a new pattern that is kinda repro using Moda's Warmth line and some fast fun projects. One of the fast fun projects is the first in a series of pincushion patterns I am doing. This first pattern is for fall. The pattern has instructions for all four pincushions. They are wool applique with some simple embroidery. I think they are pretty cute and would look good in a basket or on a shelf as well. I will have the pattern up on the online store this afternoon. They are doing a giveaway on the Henry Glass blog for this pattern and a bundle of my fabric as well so head on over.
More later!
Happy Quilting, Dawn

  7. I love your stuff! I'm glad it is going well for you and look forward to the block-a-week. Will you tell us at the start of it how much fabric we will need or will be just have to figure it out as we go along?

  8. I live in Jefferson City and just went by Specialty Quilts to see your fabric line. It looks much better in person! I love the colors! I guess my computer monitor makes the colors too bright.
