I spent last week in Des Moines, Iowa vending at the AQS show. My oldest son went along with me to help and we had a really great time. There is so much inspiration that it is almost overwhelming. This was my first big retail show. Generally I just do Quilt Market in the spring and fall but I am so glad I decided to do this show. It was so great to meet all the quilters. Several of you readers stopped by and said hello. It was wonderful to meet all of you!
The quilts in the show were absolutely spectacular! There are several members of my quilt guild who had quilts in the show this time. If you have been reading my blog for long you already know I think my guild and it's members are awesome.
This is a shot of my booth. I kept forgetting to take a photo and shot this one at the end of the show. For some reason the angle makes it look like everything is leaning but it's not. Anyway it was a really good experience. I also want to thank all of you who showed up for the applique demo. It was standing room only which is great. No one wants to throw a party and have no one show up!
And finally here is a photo of Block 2 from the Sentiments Sampler quilt. Shoot on over to Henry Glass and check it out.
Happy Quilting, Dawn
I like your booth. I got block 1 made and will try to get block 2 down this week.
