Your table runner just screams "home sweet home" to me! Love it. I have loved collecting glass ornaments and seems like I was usually the person to decorate our tree too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a hoot; an upside-down tree!! Our tree was always a family decorating affair. I love traditional decorations and ones that have special meaning so our tree has an assortment of decorations. Glass ornaments are one of my special loves and I have many glass ones from my parents' trees. I even have one that my dad bought in his teens. This year he would have turned 99 so you can see that it's an old ornament; so special!
ReplyDeleteWe do the themed tree once in awhile but I have so many ornaments that have memories attached sothat it is hard to do. I guess I need several trees. Your holiday spent at your grandmother's sounds like mine which also ended when my grandmother passed away. It is sad to me as my children have never had that experience and don't quite get why I am so close to all of my cousins. It was just different times back then.
