Primitive Quilts and Projects

The new issue of Primitive Quilts and Projects has hit the stands. If you make primitive or folk art quilts be sure to check it out. Not only is it a great magazine but this issue has details about submitting your quilt for the Primitive Quilt Exhibit in Houston this fall. Last year was the first time for this long overdue exhibit. Often primitive style quilts are not included in shows but this is not the case anymore! The girls at PQ&P have set up this showing just for those of us who love the primitive style. Pick up an issue and enter your quilts!
And just in time for Valentine's, they are offering Kathy Cardiff's "Hearts and Vines" as a pattern for only $4.99. This was featured in the Spring 2013 issue and it spoke to me. I love the softness of this piece and being made from wool makes it quick to stitch up. I am tempted to pull out some wool and get started on this. I really love it. If only I didn't have deadlines looming.
However, I did take the final stitch in the binding of this yesterday. This is a tiny peek at my quilt "Harvest" that will be in the fall issue of PQ&P. Soooo maybe I will reward myself with a little break and stitch Kathy's wool piece.

Happy Quilting, Dawn

  1. I too fell in love all over again with Kathy's wool heart mat. before leaving for retreat last weekend, I dug out my old issue and everything needed and got a good start on it. I hope to be finishing it up today!

I'm looking forward to seeing your quilt in the Fall issue!
