All Good Things Must Come to an End

Well Quilters, Can you believe we are finishing up Little Wooly Baskets? It has went by so fast. I am so grateful to all of you who have sewn along. I hope you will still follow along on the blog or Facebook after we finish. Who knows what I will come up with ! Please send me photos of your finished quilts for the Pinterest board. Block 11 is above, sort of a fall sunflower.
And Block 12 is a basket of evergreen branches to round out all the seasons. You can get the patterns HERE.
When I was designing the quilt I tried all kinds of settings but everything seemed to overpower the little blocks. I finally decided on a simple sashing of a print that would set off the baskets..

This gold plaid from Diamond Textiles really makes the baskets sparkle. You can get it from Homestead Hearth.
So what does the quilt look like?
Simple but effective. To set your blocks like mine you will need a 1/4 yard of fabric for the sashing and 1/4 yard for the cornerstones and outer border.
From the gold plaid print cut 31- 1" x 6 1/2" sash strips.
From the diamond dark woven cut- 20- 1" squares for cornerstones
2- 2 1/2" x 27" strips for the side borders (these go on first)
2- 2 1/2" x 24 1/2" strips for the top and bottom borders.
Your finished quilt will measure 24" x 30 1/2".
I would love to hear what you think!
Happy Quilting, Dawn

Previous blocks are no longer available. Please note in the tab at the top of the page titled Wooly Baskets BOM. Free blocks were to be available only until the next month's blocks posted. I actually left the blocks up for free for the entire six months but they have now come down. This entire pattern will be available for purchase soon.
