This is my quilt- Sunnyside Sampler. It was based on an antique quilt from Sunnyside Ohio. I released the pattern in January 2013. Because I had shops waiting on the pattern I shot the cover without it being quilted. I really wanted to hand quilt it but never found the time. It remained just a top and as I carried it around for trunkshows it began to show some wear. Fortunately for me I have a group of friends who meet every Tuesday at the Methodist Church and hand quilt for people.
I was lucky enough to get my quilt on their list and now it has been returned to me- beautifully hand quilted.
Here is the finished quilt with the lovely ladies who quilted it. I couldn't be happier!
When I made my quilt I used my fabric line Best Wishes and went for a patriotic look but Common Threads in Waxahachie did the quilt in scrappy colors for their BOM.
If you are looking for a kit, you might be able to still get one from them or Homestead Hearth.
I am off to bind my quilt.
Happy Quilting,
Dawn
I love all your work but this one is still my favorite. I don't know why but it just speaks to me.
